field testing

Visual Field testing is used to determine the extent of peripheral vision in patients. Through a pattern of light flashes the Doctor is able to chart the position and size of the patient's normal "blind spot" as well as the amount of peripheral vision the patient has. Loss of visual field can be a symptom of several eye disorders, the most prominent being glaucoma.
