Are all sunglasses created equal??
Lens quality: Not all lenses labelled as "UV protection" have safe levels of blockage. Many inexpensive sunglass lenses also have imperfections that cause distortion and are made of easily scratched materials. We recommend only sunglasses with the highest quality lenses, providing maximum clarity, protection and durability.

Polycarbonate - the lightest lens material, known for its impact resistance. The material of choice for kids and sports.
Cr-39 - an optical grade palstic lens that can be tinted in many colors. Lighter and safer than glass.
Glass - popular because of its scratch resistant properties and inherent IR blockage, glass is unfortunately heavier than the other materials and NOT shatter resistant.
Polarized - eliminates glare caused by reflective surfaces. Ideal for driving, boating and outdoor sports.
